Built in 1924-Tamarack lodge is located on the shores of Twin Lakes. Tamarack Lodge offers 11 Lodge rooms and 34 cabins. All cabins are conveniently located for easy access to the cross-country ski trails in winter and are ski-in/ski-out. Relax in the historic Mountain Lodge with a warm cup of freshly brewed coffee or our warm mulled wine. Enjoy an intimate and unique dinner of French cuisine at Lakefront Restaurant. Advanced reservations are required. Step right out your front door for easy access to Twin Lakes-one of the many located near the resort. In winter have ski-in/ski-out access to the Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center and its 30 km of world-class groomed trails-beautiful scenery and an Olympic medalist who serves as instructor and guide. Relax and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. In summer Tamarack offers rowboats/canoe rentals and some of the best fishing in the eastern sierra. Distance to Canyon Lodge is approx. 3 miles. Dogs are accepted during the summer months -Mid April to Mid Nov-30 dollars / night / dog. All Cabins have telephones, basic kitchens equipped with dishes/pots and pans, private bathrooms, daily housekeeping, alarm clocks, and coffee makers.
