  We were travelling up to a vacation in the Sierras, so the location was pretty good since other closer locations were booked over holiday week-end. Be aware that the motel is close to a train track and we heard the horn up until 10 PM but after that it did not bother us. The front desk (open 24 hours) can get pretty busy with check ins at holiday times, and we had to wait a while. Also, while they advertise a "hot tub" it is actually outside, although heated, and getting the staff to unlock the gate took over half an hour. The morning breakfast of muffins, cereal and coffee and juice was a nice plus. It is close to several restaurants and was a clean and comfortable place to stay.

  Smooth check-in however room was not ready when we arrived and it caused some confusion as we had to change quickly to arrive on time at an appointment. The bathrooms could use some maintenance, especially in the tub area.

  the place smelled like smoke. the bathroom seemed to have water damage. it was dated. the bed killed my back. the woman who checked me in was nice. I thought it would be more comfortable. it wasn't terrible but it wasn't great. the room was creepy
